Joining Agreement
The Little Black Dress Club is for socially engaged, active women who want to make friends. We operate on the principles of respect, accountability and integrity.
As a member, you have a right to:
Attend any LBD event anywhere, knowing you will be greeted and made to feel welcome in the group.
Understand the event guidelines ahead of time - this means no unexpected sales or business solicitations.
A proselytism-free environment - no event should encourage religious or political conversation, unless this is specifically indicated in the event description ahead of time.
Understand financial commitment ahead of time.
Understand if the event you are attending includes members of the opposite sex.
A GOOD TIME WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS!
Our hostesses spend a significant amount of time planning events and creating a friendly, welcoming environment. Please be respectful of their efforts and make sure your RSVP accurately reflects your intention to attend an event or not 24 hours in advance. If you RSVP and don't show, frequently other members are deprived of an opportunity to attend. If you need to cancel within 24 hours of an event, email or call the hostess and explain the situation.
We track late cancellations and no shows and will consider removing you from the group if you are a repeat offender. The most important thing to remember is when in doubt, communicate. Be considerate of the hostesses who have volunteered their time and you will be met with understanding.
Additionally:
- You may RSVP for an event within 24 hours if a spot opens up that was not previously available.
- Attend events only if you have RSVPd.
- DO NOT RSVP for events if you are going to be late and will not be able to meet up with the group. For example: at a happy hour, everyone will be in one place the whole time whereas at museum event, members will meet and begin the tour and it will be difficult for you to connect.
- Only bring a member of the opposite sex to an event where it specifically states you are invited to do so.
- Be sure you cover your expenses for the evening. If you have attended a dinner, please remember to include tax and a 15 to 20% gratuity (18% is often required for parties of 6 or more).
If you attend an event that does not meet your expectations or comply with our principles, please let us know by sending an email to info@lbdclub.com!
PLEASE NOTE: The Little Black Dress Club is for WOMEN ONLY! You must be 18 and a WOMAN to sign up. By requesting membership you agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Membership requests are subject to review and approval. In order to protect our member's interests, we reserve the right to deny or revoke membership.
