About Town Scavenger Hunt in Annapolis
7/28/2011 9:10 PM

The Ladies of the Little Black Dress Club Annapolis, Maryland hit the town this summer for their first About Town Scavenger Hunt. Historic Annapolis is a waterfront town full of history, boating, great food, and plenty of historical pubs. Twenty-three ladies broke off into four teams and were given tasks, and trivia questions to complete within two hours with no help from cell phones. Each task and question was worth either three or five points and the team with the most points won.
The groups had to visit local land marks such as the Kunta Kinte Memorial, the Alpaca House, and the State House to help answer some of the trivia questions. They also had to do things like find a pay phone, take an oyster shooter, get invited on a boat, find a celebrity, and visit an art gallery.

LBDC teamed up with two local hot spots for this event which tasked the ladies with enjoying some cocktails during the hunt. Pussers Caribbean Grille sits on the water and is famously known for their Pain Killers. A Pain Killer is made with Caribbean rum and tropical fruit juices. Each team visited Pussers for the signature drink. The ladies also went to Sly Fox Pub and for an Orange Crush. Sly Fox is one of the oldest pubs in Annapolis, visited by George Washington. The Pub has a great outside atmosphere which is perfect for summer afternoons.

Teams met back at Loews Weather Rail Bar to present their findings and photo evidence so the points could be tallied. Loews provided a great spread of cheeses, chocolates, and other snacks for the women to enjoy while they waited for the winning team to be announced. In the end, Team Oyster Shooters won with a close following by Aime's Academics. The afternoon was a success and a lot of fun. Everyone is very excited to do it again next year!

The Little Black Dress Club would like to thank Loews Weather Rail Bar, Sly Fox Pub, and Pussers Caribbean Grille for their contribution and participation in our About Town Scavenger hunt!
